From Plan to Script

For diagrammatic reinterpretation exercises, visual signs embedded within a context can become tools for discovering and translating that context anew. In this drawing, the plan of the Jameh Mosque of Isfahan is transformed through its underlying grid, pixels, and hidden axes into a geometric structure approaching the logic of Kufic brick script; a point where plan, pattern, and writing can converge within a shared language.
