Architecture was a path I started with hands-on experience in architectural studios, but it was the blend of motion graphics and architectural diagrams that carved out a unique direction for me. This combination introduced a fresh concept of architectural expression, captivating architects and design enthusiasts alike by visually narrating the complex processes of architectural design.
Over time, I continued exploring architectural storytelling through MotionDiagram, which gradually grew into a passion for teaching. I launched MotionDiagram classes with the goal of advancing motion graphics within architecture, showing students how they could bring form and concept to life beyond static drawings. These sessions sparked new perspectives and marked an exciting phase in my journey, pushing me toward crafting innovative forms and approaches.
Eventually, my interest turned to reimagining traditional Iranian architectural forms through motion graphics. From Safavid-era minarets to Islamic patterns, each element was recreated in timeless digital videos that allowed a nontraditional, open-minded view of tradition. This perspective, in many ways, extended the vision of avant-garde architects and artists who transcended time and space to re-explore and reinterpret architectural forms and ideas. These digital reinterpretations created a fresh encounter with Iranian architecture, becoming an inspiring and challenging experience for me.
Now, my aim is to create a space where architecture and motion graphics dynamically merge—a space to recycle, recreate, and re-envision Iranian patterns and forms in a contemporary light, serving the artistic and visual language of today’s architecture.
